AIRPORT ELECTRONICS OFFICER
(National – Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
  • Capable of operating information systems  equipment;
  • Able to maintain and repair information systems equipment;
  • Analyze if any disturbances/damages in information system equipment;
  • Able to plan/design the installation or change of information system equipment and evaluate the performance of information system equipment.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electronic systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electronic systems, including communication, security, and navigation systems.
  • Execute repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure systems are operational.
  • Airport electronics personnel with building automation system and fire alarm system competencies at the skilled level.
  • Install and configure new electronic systems and equipment in accordance with airport standards and requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other airport personnel regarding the use and maintenance of electronic systems.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies related to electronic systems.
  • Capable to operate, maintain and repair building automation system equipment and fire alarm system;
  • Airport electronics personnel with building automation system and fire alarm system competencies at the expert level.
  • Able to analyze disturbances/damages and make steps to repair building automation system and fire alarm system equipment.
  • Able to plan/design the installation or change of building automation system and fire alarm system. And evaluate the performance of building automation system and fire alarm system equipment.
  • Able to operate public address system equipment, building amenities, and check-in system;
  • Able to maintain and repair  minor damage to public address system equipment, building amenities, and check-in system.
What skills and experience do you need?
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electronics maintenance or a similar technical role, preferably in an airport or similar high-availability environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic systems, understanding of communication and security systems, and familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
  • Have a safety awareness certificate.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions. Good manual dexterity and vision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with staff and contractors.
