Our client, A Global Oil and Gas Operator is seeking an ASR Representative to join their team from February 2025.
Site office/ Location: Field ASV
Roster: 3/3
Contract commencement: February 2025
Assignment Conditions: Workplace onboard Contractor’s accommodation support vessel (ASV) and in Company’s Perth office
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Qualifications & Clearance Accreditation Licenses
- Tertiary Engineer , Mariner with Chief Officer (or equivalent) ,or Trade with significant leadership and management experience.
- Previous experience in offshore construction works and general vessel management, including accommodation support vessels or vessel with reasonable staffing numbers and working in or around operating oil and gas facilities.
- Previous experience in HSE reporting.
- Holder of (or entitled to hold) an MSIC.
- Current TBOSIET (or capability to obtain).
Critical Skills and Capabilities
- Previous experience in managing and supervising an offshore vessel operator , marine crew and hoteling crew.
- High awareness of safe working practices with regards to operation of ships, offshore construction and operating oil and gas offshore facilities.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Capable to provide accurate and timely reporting of operations to Management Team onshore;
- Ability to work with different disciplines and cultures.
- Experience with working with a maritime work force.
- Knowledge of key vessel systemequipment ( Dynamic Positioning, Cranes, Heli Deck, Mustering).
Preferred Experiences
- 10 years+ experience in management of general offshore vessels ,and marine and catering contractors within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Experience with managing an Offshoreship contractor running large vessel with 20+ personnel;
- Experience with monitoring and enforcing Quality and HSES obligations as per Client requirements;
- Experience in managing and enforcing Management of Change (MOC) procedures offshore;
- Experience in managing contract delivery and invoicing oversight.
Assignment Deliverables
- Ensure that all offshore activities undertaken on the ASV are conducted in accordance with Company specifications and requirements.
- Supervise all facets of the ASV delivery of services.
- Ensure that contractual HSE requirements are met.
Key Technical Deliverables
ADMINISTRATION:
- Company Representative on the contractors offshore Accommodation Support Vessel.
- Focal point for Contractors offshore representative on a day-to-day basis and during any emergency response.
- Provide daily reporting functions.
- Become thoroughly conversant with project documentation, specifications and procedures.
- Bring to earliest attention of the project leadership any issues which represent a threat to the project (schedule, cost and/ or HSE performance) and offer mitigating measures / work plan as deemed required.
- Provide oversight on all vessel and hoteling contractor invoicing.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
- Watch over all aspects of vessel operation (position keeping, helicopter operations hoteling service, lifting operations, cargo handling).
- Lead / participate in offshore Constructability, HAZID, Audits reviews, risk assessments and HSE walk downs.
- Co-ordinate with onshore discipline teams (logistics, travel, catering, industrial relations team, cost control, planning)
ADVICE AND LEADERSHIP
- Provide technical and team leadership to the ASV Offshore team;
- Anticipate, identify and resolve detailed technical issues in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Promote HSE onboard, monitor HSE KPI’s and attend regular HSE walk downs.
Personal Attributes
- Proven Team leader and ability to manage direct reports in a constructive and integrated manner.
- Provide support to the hookup and shutdown team as required.
- Be able to cope with a large number of simultaneous activities including the ability to prioritise resolution to areas of highest risk to the Project.
- Be able to work with a wide variety of personnel within Company and Contractor organisations to resolve issues and conflicts to achieve the best outcome for the Project.
- Excellent communications skills.

- Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company policies and procedures.
- Ensure the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
- Actively participate in Contractor/ Company Safety programs and training as required.
- Participate in the Contractor/ Company safety performance program.
- Promote HSE aspects during the preparation and execution of the offshore activities.
- Support, promote and comply with the Project Health, Safety and Environment Charter – Best in Industry HSE Culture.
