The Role

The Bid Manager will be a member of the commercial team reporting to the Project Commercial Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the CfD bidding process for the project, ensuring a competitive and compliant bid that aligns with the project’s strategic objectives.
 
Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end CfD bidding process
  • Ensure compliance with CfD regulations and guidelines
  • Develop and implement bid strategies to maximise the competitiveness of our submission
  • Provide insights and recommendations to inform decision-making
  • Work closely with development, engineering, legal, finance, and commercial teams to ensure a comprehensive and accurate bid submission
  • Work closely with the financial team to assess project economics, including revenue projections, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations to stay updated on CfD policies and requirements
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the CfD bidding process
  • Develop contingency plans and strategies to address potential challenges
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes related to the CfD scheme
  • Prepare and review all bid documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines
  • Oversee the submission process, addressing any queries or issues that arise during evaluation
 
Essential Requirements
  • Degree qualified in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a comparable discipline
  • At least five years of professional experience in a similar function
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and winning bids in an offshore wind setting
  • Knowledge of CfD regulations and policies
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, financial modelling software)
