Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Business Advisor (PMO) to join our IT organization. This hybrid role combines project portfolio management (PMO) expertise with IT business advisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate will excel in managing comprehensive project portfolios, advising on IT business alignment strategies, and delivering actionable insights to drive organizational success. This position requires excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and guide IT and business initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitie

Project Portfolio Management (PMO):
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project portfolio, including budgets, resource allocations, and cost management.
  • Design and manage portfolio metrics and KPIs, creating dashboards to track and communicate progress effectively to stakeholders.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate portfolio risks and issues.
  • Facilitate portfolio planning and review sessions, analyzing data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Continuously improve portfolio management frameworks, tools, and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coach and mentor project managers and teams in agile methodologies and portfolio management principles.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project portfolio management (PPM) and IT business advisory roles.
  • Proven experience with IT and business-related projects in complex environments.
  • Experience in the Energy or Oil & Gas industry is considered a plus.
Skills:
  • Expertise in PPM tools and methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in English.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience coaching and motivating teams.
  • Advanced stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex environments and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred Certifications:
® Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)
  • ScrumMaster Certified (SMC)
