NES Fircroft is collaborating with a global leader in the mining industry to find an experienced Civil Project Engineer for a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role is based in Brisbane CBD.
As a Project Engineer, you will provide essential support to a client-side Project Manager, driving the delivery of multiple projects across a diverse portfolio of assets.

As a Project Engineer, you will provide essential support to a client-side Project Manager, driving the delivery of multiple projects across a diverse portfolio of assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Project Manager.
- Oversee project QA/QC requirements as per the contract.
- Proactively identify and address quality or safety issues to keep projects on track.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance project delivery through optimisations.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in project engineering within civil infrastructure or mining projects (e.g., roads, bridges, dams, surface water management infrastructure).
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to scope, especially in high safety and quality environments.
- Strong commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment with a focus on safety culture.
- Experience in managing subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
- Ambition to advance to a Project Manager role and lead your own projects.
- Brisbane CBD-based role with required site travel.
