Job Title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Experience Level: Minimum 10 years
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning and start-up of electrical control systems at our Sarnia facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing multiple projects of varying scales and complexities, with a strong focus on instrumentation and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning & Start-Up: Oversee the commissioning and initiation of electrical control systems, ensuring they meet design specifications and operational requirements.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical assistance to technicians during the commissioning process, addressing and resolving any challenges that arise.
  • Planning & Design: Engage in the planning, design, and review of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations teams to develop and implement effective commissioning strategies, facilitating a seamless transition to full operational status.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, navigating various scales and complexities, while maintaining a strong emphasis on instrumentation and electrical systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in electrical commissioning and start-up, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Proficiency in managing projects involving instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with commissioning in the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electrical systems commissioning.
