As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for:
Commissioning System Responsible Piping/Mech  HVAC with experience in onshore or offshore projects.

 
This position is based in Verdal and follows a 14/21 rotation schedule. Travel and accommodation will be provided for each rotation. The project is expected to continue until May.
 
 
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
 
What will you be doing?
  • Mark systems with warning signs/commissioning tape/tags before livening up
  • Isolate and secure systems before entry or intervention
  • Assess and prepare PTWs for approval, ensuring safety precautions
  • Secure live power systems per safety procedures
  • Define measures for safety system shutdowns or non-operation
  • Evaluate and approve PTW extensions
  • Provide input to commissioning test procedures for other systems
  • Develop governing documents, work instructions, and commissioning procedures for Piping/Mechanical
  • Ensure commissioning follows project and commissioning procedures
  • Develop plant start-up and performance test procedures
  • Evaluate commissioning and operation spares
  • Prepare commissioning scope and work packages in PCS
  • Guide and support commissioning activities per plans and procedures
  • Update status activities in PCS
  • Report progress on own activities
  • Manage change control (queries, documents)
  • Conduct system take-over activities
  • Guide and support start-up and performance test activities
  • Administer and supervise commissioning assistance and vendor personnel

 
Qualifications we think you should have:
 
  • Technical/Bachelor’s degree (relevant work experience can compensate for lack of education)
  • Good knowledge of work processes within the discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EPC processes within New Build/Renewable  segments
  • Software skills: MIPS, MS Office 365, PCS (Pims, ProCoSys), Autodesk Simulate
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Good communication skills
  • Teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail
