Position Summary:
- Provide expert advice for reinstatement of existing CMS
- Support ISG CMS- oversee the overall development, assessment and verification processes and activities- across all sites
- Act as Lead Assessor – support, train, supervise and lead ISG task force team of discipline assessors/verifiers to perform their roles successfully to agreed standards
- Conduct assessments in key disciplines as per the CMS strategy and objectives
- Develop and enhance Competency Profiles
- Drive and develop a prioritized training and competency development plan
- Develop and maintain effective curriculum training and learning pathways and ensure materials are accessible to all concerned parties as per agreed strategy and objectives
- Coordinate training activities to support identified skillset needs
- Work in close collaboration with ISG managers/TLs to support the training and competency Gap
- Closure Plans (GCP) of their respective staffs
- Provide regular reports to management on competency assessment activities progress
- Train others in CMS procedures, assessment techniques and preparation of competence profiles
- Assessing the quality of the system, recommending improvements to the assessment process and reporting.
- Providing appropriate guidance and advice to candidates and assessors who are engaging with the assessment process Advising Competency Assessors and Verifiers on best practice
- Delivering bespoke training intervention for identified Assessors/Verifiers and other concerned staff in assessment theory, methodology and practice
- Conducting assessments in own discipline
- Verifying that assessments are conducted to required standards
- Developing and / or enhancing Competence Profiles
- Advising, guiding, coaching others to develop and/or enhance Competence Profiles
- Supervising the performance of ISG Assessors and Verifiers
- Ensuring assessment records are maintained and regularly updated.
- Reporting regularly on progress of the competence programs and plans
- Meeting Competence KPI’s
- Conducting bespoke (on-demand) training in own discipline/specialization
- Identifying and closing gaps individual and organizational competency gaps
- Identifying learning and development solutions to close competency gaps
- Advising T&D Team Leader on key T/L&D strategic areas (e.g. T/LNA, evaluation, etc.)

General
- Proven experience in the O&G industry/sector
- Fluent English language (written & spoken) – a must have
- Working knowledge in French language desirable
- Proven experience of interacting with management and departments of different disciplines
- Very good computer skills, especially MS Word, Excel and Power Point
- Strong organizational and presentation skills
- Experience in remote working environment
- Ability to travel around sites
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Specific
- Vocational Training Expertise/qualification
- Certificate of Competency Assessor/Verifier from a recognized international body (preferably OPITO or IHRDC accredited center)
- Proven working experience and advanced knowledge in competency frameworks
- Proven working experience and advanced knowledge in competence management systems/software, (e.g. ICAN, IHRDC, SAP SuccessFactor, Cloud Assess, TalentGuard, Korn Ferry…)
Experience
- Min 15 years of overall experience
- Min 10 years of experience in O&G industry/sector
- Min 10 years of experience in Training/Learning & Development (T/L&D)
- Min 5 years in the role of competency assessor
- Min 3 years in the role of competency assessor
- Min 5 years in a position of responsibility
