Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager/Supervisor with a strong mechanical background and extensive experience in ground disturbance. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on, safety-focused approach to manage construction projects with limited exposure to Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) functions.
In this role, you’ll lead field operations, ensuring safety compliance, quality control, and adherence to project timelines. Your experience in mechanical functions and ground disturbance will be crucial in overseeing construction activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and minimizing risks to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise on-site construction operations, with a focus on ground disturbance and mechanical activities.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and best practices, fostering a safety-oriented culture on-site.
  • Coordinate project schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and meets quality standards.
  • Oversee subcontractors and liaise with internal and external teams to ensure efficient communication and task alignment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Address and resolve any site challenges to minimize disruptions and maintain project flow.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of construction management or supervisory experience with a solid focus on mechanical systems and ground disturbance.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of ground disturbance and safety protocols, with a limited focus on E&I functions.
  • Certifications: Relevant safety certifications (e.g., Ground Disturbance Level II, H2S Alive) are an asset.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a proactive approach to risk management.
