We are seeking a skilled Pipeline Inspector to oversee and ensure the integrity of our pipeline systems through a series of 24 integrity digs scheduled over the coming year. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and functionality of our pipeline infrastructure in the Sarnia/Windsor area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of pipeline construction and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Review construction plans, schematics, and permits related to pipeline integrity digs.
  • Monitor excavation, welding, coating, and backfilling processes to detect faults, damage, corrosion, or leaks.
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as ultrasonic, X-ray, and magnetic flux systems for pipeline assessment.
  • Document findings and generate detailed reports, providing recommendations for repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with construction crews, engineers, and other stakeholders to address pipeline issues effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in pipeline inspection or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of pipeline construction and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety regulations in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and technology, including ultrasonic and X-ray equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites within the Sarnia/Windsor area.
