Job Details
Location: Will travel to project sites throughout IL, IA, MN, WI, and ND.
Hours: 60+ Hours Per Week
Pay Ranges: $80/hr. + per diem. Other reimbursements such as mileage also included.
Duration: 1 year with high probability of extension or fulltime employment.
Responsibilities/Requirements
The candidates must have experience providing direct oversight and participating in the excavation of live pipelines. Experience in the use of Line locate equipment is preferred

Responsibilities/Requirements

The Ground Disturbance Supervisor responsibilities include the following:
- Assist the field project controls person with notes of interest for the cost report.
- Work with the IP to coordinate manpower and equipment.
- Ensure all Safe Work Permits, Ground Disturbance Permits, Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), Backfill Reports, and site completion reports are completed (on a per dig basis) and catalogued in the electronic project folder daily.
- Hold a site-specific tailgate meeting.
- Ensure that the agreements, locate sketches, and One-Calls are up-to-date and that the locate stakes are in place.
- Mark and maintain alignment of pipeline using a electronic line locator.
- Oversee the execution of the ground disturbance in accordance with DP PA 5.7, Ground Disturbance Standard. No ground disturbance or backfill may be conducted without client GD Supervisor on site and in direct supervision
- a Ground Disturbance Supervisor must be on site at all times and in direct supervision while the following tasks are in progress
- any hand exposure of the pipeline (including hydro-excavation [hydro-vac]);
- any mechanical excavation of the pipeline;
- any ground disturbance work involving the crossing of pipelines or utilities;
- whenever a contractor is undertaking any type of ground disturbance; and
- whenever a backfill is being conducted.
- Take daily pictures of the location and work being performed. Pictures are catalogued digitally in ShareFile®.
