CONTRACT ENGINEER

MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
The service holder is responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities (tendering / contracting phase) of contracts that could be necessary during the Life of Project and activities related to the management of Feed contracts up to the close out.

ACTIVITIES
  • Support Project Management for Contract Project activities.
  • Stay informed about Company Rules, Specifications, and procedures related to Contract and Procurement.
  • Implement and verify procedures associated with Contract activities.
  • Organize, direct, supervise, and support contract engineers.
  • Coordinate the tendering/contracting process, including pre-qualification if necessary.
  • Manage Contract Management during the Execution of the FEED Contract.
  • Participate in the settlement of disputes with legal, insurance, and finance specialists.
  • Coordinate/participate in the approval process of contract amendments.
  • Apply or ensure the application of the Due Diligence procedure.
  • Supervise the close-out of Contracts.
  • Define and implement a reporting process for Contract Management activities.
  • Report to the Project Control Manager, highlighting progress and areas of concern.
  • Gather 'lessons learnt' and provide feedback to other entities.
  • Act as Project Control Manager in their absence.

CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
  • Development in Nigeria
  • 1 multiphasic production line, 1 water injection line
  • Innovation driven Project with Conductor Supported Platform and Zapock pipeline concepts to be rolled-out.
  • FEED started October 2024 for 5 months, FID is expected end Q1 2025 and first oil Q2 2027
  • Developed with the objectives to maximize economical results by optimizing the reserves, the schedule, reducing the costs and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focus.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Qualification: An engineering degree or an equivalent qualification is required
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract development and management in an international context.
  • While membership in the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS UK or Nigeria) or similar supply chain organizations is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged.
  • Candidate’s ability to utilize SAP/R3 and e-sourcing tools will be an added advantage.
  • Languages: English mandatory
  • Professional Experience: 10-20 years
  • Experience in similar position: 7-10 years
