DESCRIPTION:
The activity of this service will focus on:
- Assist the Project Director/Manager to coordinate contract management activities ensuring that all aspects of the contract during project execution phase are correctly addressed
- Review and analyse contract clauses and provide assistance regarding the interpretation of contractual clauses
- Develop contracting strategies, oversee negotiations, contract administration, and the close-out of various types of contracts within delegated authority
- Advice, draft and review the contractual correspondence related to Clients and Partners; and contractual communications to Vendors and Subcontractors
- Prepare and update relevant registers and reports
- Prepare, follow up and negotiate variations of contracts and claims (including EOT, Disruption and acceleration claims) incorporating pricing, commercial, contractual, and technical aspects
- Support the Supply Chain Function in negotiating contract documents of purchase orders, subcontracts and charter party agreements during project execution and support the teams for followup and closeout of the supply chain agreements
- Maintain relevant records on behalf of Contractor
- Provide consultative, functional, technical, and analytical support in Contract Management to project management, project controls, construction management processes, and senior leadership
- Report to project, department, and company senior leadership on the health of the assigned projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To carry out this service, the Holder must bring the skills described below:
- English Mandatory.
- Engineering (or dual Legal + Engineering) background preferable.
- Previous experience as Project Contract Manager, ideally for international contractors on EPCI type projects in the oil & gas industry or large construction projects with complex interfaces.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry and contract language associated with EPC.
- Extensive knowledge in change and claims preparation, evaluation and negotiation
- Experience on FPSO, SURF, Platforms projects and more.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position
