Contracts Management Lead

Shift Pattern: 28/28 rotational
Location: Iraq

Role Synopsis
  • The Point of contact for the Department for all matters relating to contracts, contracting and procurement and interface with Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
  • Assists the department teams by developing and managing Contracting and Procurement (C&P) strategies and plans that align with Department strategic performance objectives.
  • Ensures that contracting and procurement strategies are aggregated, optimised, and standardised for efficient utilisation.
  • Manages the interface with key stakeholders, including technical end users, Procurement and Supply Chain Management and contractor bodies alike.
  • Monitors contract health and performance management, continually seeking areas for improvement. Manages the contractor performance review program. Supports, coaches, and develops team members in delivery of commitments.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement the Contracting & Procurement strategy in conjunction with Team Managers.
  • Prepare and implement a project Contracting & Procurement plan for each M&E Team delivery requirements.
  • Develop and implement a project Supplier Quality & Integrity Management Strategy in conjunction with the Team Managers.
  • Develop sourcing and contract transition strategies that support department performance objectives.
  • Provide contract governance and assurance guidance department Managers and Contract Accountable Managers.
  • Generates the monthly contract performance and health summary, with input from periodic contractor performance review program

Criteria & Qualifications        
  • Experienced in Oil & Gas related industry contracting
  • Experienced in a Cost, Supply Chain and/or contracts management role for a multinational company
  • Excellent communication skills ability to influence vertically and horizontally in a fast-paced environment,
  • University Degree or Appropriate Qualification in Business or Contracts management
  • Experience of the Capital Value Processes and Procurement and Supply Chain Management drivers and processes
  • Previous experience of working within a multi-cultural and multi-discipline, multi-location environment.
  • Excellent spoken and written English language capability.
