Responsibilities & Main Tasks

  • Provide the Project Manager and their team leads as part of the PMT with Contract Management Support.
  • Lead the formation, negotiation, and execution of Enabling Agreement and Work Order terms for Project Work.
  • Lead, coordinate, and present in conjunction with the Project Manager, Enabling Agreement proposals, and upon gate review approval, oversee Work Order execution.
  • Provide PMT with a breakdown of the Enabling Agreement & Work Order contracting terms.
  • Assess changes, claims, and delays under the Enabling Agreement and Work Order terms.
  • Assist the Project Manager and PMT if work is executed through intercompany agreements.
  • Support Commercial Managers and the Project Manager in preparation of strategies and plans to overcome commercial/contractual exposures.
  • Liaise with Insurance for event coverage under various policies (CAR, P&I, H&M, WC, PL, and IP).
  • Assist supply chain professionals with preparing standard contracting forms for subcontracting, services, and the supply of goods and materials.
  • Assist with any supply chain exposures, claims, and delays, and escalate issues when needed in conjunction with PMT to the client.
  • Maintain accurate records of all correspondence, Change Orders, Commercial Exposures and Claims, Amendments, and Invoicing, and keep PMT regularly updated.
  • Coordinate PMT and Subject Matter Expert input for Change Order Proposals/Change Orders, Letters, and Amendments.
  • Chair internal/external contractual meetings and keep accurate records of discussions and decisions.
  • Provide input into weekly and monthly reporting, both internal and external.
  • Identify Risk and Opportunities with PMT, register, monitor, and report using Risk Platform DANTE.
Job Requirements

Specific skills / expertise / product:

  • Degree or MBA in Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Contract Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  • 5–10 years’ experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas Offshore industry, in Contract, Commercial, or Project Management.
  • Strong demonstration of written advocacy.
  • Understands the complexities of managing a network of contracting requirements and relationships with intricate knowledge of drafting compensation elements.
  • Knowledge and experience in contract drafting and understanding contract liabilities and indemnities, including extensions of time, change orders, insurance regimes, consequential loss, liquidated damages, and capped liabilities.
  • Familiarity with corporate structures (including joint ventures).
  • Awareness of contractual relationships, such as contract amendments, novations, and assignment of contracts.
  • Experience in negotiating outcomes and claims resolution.
  • Post-Award contract management experience, typically in Lump Sum, Reimbursable, and Remeasurable pricing structures.
  • Capable of preparing delay and extension of time claims.
  • Awareness/Knowledge of HSSE&Q Management Systems/Procedures.
  • Experienced in P6, SharePoint, MS Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
