Our client, a major Oil and Gas Operator, is seeking a Cost Controller for an initial 12-month contract.
The successful Cost Controller will be responsible for the daily cost control activities for Offshore Development Projects under the supervision of the Senior Cost Controller.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Always ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment.

The successful Cost Controller will be responsible for the daily cost control activities for Offshore Development Projects under the supervision of the Senior Cost Controller.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Always ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment.
- Responsible for daily cost controls activities under the supervision of senior cost controller including but not limited to;
- Manage PO commitments & SAP actuals.
- Calculate and verify monthly Value of Work Done (VoWD).
- Manage CTR/PR/PO creation process.
- Support the preparation of the monthly cash call.
- Monthly analysis and reporting against Project Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts. (3+9, 6+6, 9+3 etc)
- Preparation of expenditure forecasts and cash flow phasing.
- Monthly update of Ecosys and PowerBi Reporting
- Assist in the preparation and management of annual project budgets. (WP&B)
- Monthly FTE reporting and allocation of Owner Costs
- Variance Analysis and Commentary
- Responsible to manage the internal cost control system (Ecosys) including interface with accounting system (SAP) and Reporting System (PowerBi)
- Responsible to review and verify EPC Contractor’s monthly invoice and supporting documentation.
- Responsible to review and verify EPC Contractor’s monthly cost report.
- Support Senior Cost Controller with Scenario Planning/Forecast activities upon request.
- Contribution to project close-out activities including Project Close-out Report and Lessons Learned.

- Proactively adhere to and promote the Company workplace values and behaviors, exercising tolerance and respect for diversity.
- Bachelor’s Degree in either Engineering or Business
- Background in O&G and our Major Capital Project environments.
- Client / Operator is highly desired
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- SAP
- PowerBI
- EcoSys (or other CMS)
- MS Office applications
