In this exciting role, you’ll collaborate with a talented group of Data Analysts, Business Systems Analysts, and industry experts to design and build cutting-edge data pipelines and products for analytics and application integration. You’ll harness powerful tools like Informatica and Oracle PL/SQL to manage the entire data lifecycle— extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data from diverse sources into operational data stores, data warehouses, and applications, ensuring seamless integration and insightful reporting.
The Data Provisioning Services team is crucial in driving our business' transformation into a data-driven organization. By working across the company, the team develops innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance our ability to serve customers and support our colleagues more effectively.
Join us and be a key player in shaping the future of data-driven solutions for a large Oil & Gas client! Key Accountabilities:
Deliver hands-on support for seamless data integration in daily operations, including proactive monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, user administration, and optimizing data objects to ensure smooth end-user experiences.
Ensure smooth transitions from project to production environments by strictly following ITIL processes.
Lead root cause analysis efforts to quickly resolve incidents flagged by monitoring systems or reported by endusers, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
Configure and manage robust data replication and integration using industry-leading tools such as HVR, Informatica Developer & PowerCenter, Orchestrator, and DevOps.
Fine-tune performance for queries and data pipelines, ensuring the rapid delivery of critical data.
Drive consistency and excellence by developing and maintaining best practices, templates, and standards for data engineering across tools and functions.
Other Details:
Job location: Calgary, Alberta
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (5x2). After-hours support will be required on a rotational basis within the team.
Duration: 6 - 12 months
Skills & Qualifications: Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in data integration or data engineering.
3+ years of experience in developing high-performance, scalable, and efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines and integration solutions.
3+ years of experience as an Informatica Developer, working with PowerCenter, DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, optimized data storage, and REST APIs.
3+ years of experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL Server development.
Bonus: Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) and data replication using tools like HVR, Power Exchange, and MS Orchestrator for scheduling.
Proficient in handling various file types, including XML, JSON, CSV, Text, Excel, etc
