Job Description
Position Title: Database Administrator
Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Database Administrator role.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
• Comprehensive knowledge of SQL and database administration, including database modeling and design experience.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions
• Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as database mirroring, log shipping, and clustering
• Understanding of database security best practices and the capability to implement and enforce security measures
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• As the SQL Server Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the SQL Server databases.
• Manage and monitor both SQL Server and databases/servers to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as index rebuilding, query optimization, and database tuning
• Proactively identify and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective use of database resources
• Develop and implement database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data
• Monitor and analyze database and server performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement
• Plan and execute database migration and upgrade projects
• Troubleshoot and resolve database/server related problems in a timely manner
• Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
