Position Title: Database Administrator

Position Title: Database Administrator
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Database Administrator role.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of SQL and database administration, including database modeling and design experience.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions
- Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as database mirroring, log shipping, and clustering
- Understanding of database security best practices and the capability to implement and enforce security measures
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- As the SQL Server Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the SQL Server databases.
- Manage and monitor both SQL Server and databases/servers to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security
- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as index rebuilding, query optimization, and database tuning
- Proactively identify and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective use of database resources
- Develop and implement database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data
- Monitor and analyze database and server performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement
- Plan and execute database migration and upgrade projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve database/server related problems in a timely manner
- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
