Working knowledge of all applicable regulations governing transportation across various provinces (not limited to Hours of Service, Weights and Dimensions)
· Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with all customers, employees, vendors, and management
· Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
· Strong computer skills
· Demonstrate time management and priority setting skills
· Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
· Must be highly organized and able to multitask
· Must be accustomed to busy phones
· Ability to adjust priorities on short notice
· Ability to work independently and as a team player
· Previous dispatch experience is necessary
· Pipeyard experience
· ELD Experience is an asset but not required
· Picker operator/highway hauling experience is an asset but not required
Job Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
· Dispatch picker operators, highway haulers and delivery drivers
· Prepare field tickets for invoicing
· On call 24 hours a day while on shift
· Act as a liaison between customers, drivers and operations communicating instructions, permits and all other applicable information
· Manage hours of services for drivers
· Book permits as required
· Assist in preparing bids/flat rates for specific jobs
· Search for loads to match any empty equipment (back hauls)
· Manage and invoice rental equipment
· Help with the onboarding process to orientate new hires
· Provide mentorship to employees
Full-time 10 and 4 shift
