Document Controller – Cedar LNG Project
 
Contract period: ASAP- 2 years duration
Location: Oslo

Main Tasks:
  • Provide comprehensive document control services for the Cedar LNG Project, focusing on FLNG project.
  • Assist the Oslo Project Team as needed to support the Cedar LNG Project.
  • Perform document control (DC) activities using the project’s Document Control system, Hexagon SDx, across all project phases, including Engineering, Construction, and Management of Change (MOC).
  • Liaise with the Project Management Team, external contractors, and the Document Control team in Canada to ensure seamless communication and document flow.
  • Organise, prioritise, perform quality checks, and distribute project deliverables, including vendor documentation, through SDx.
  • Transmit documentation to project team and third parties via formal transmittal process.
  • Perform data and document reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review final project documentation for acceptance by the Project Management Team and ensure proper distribution to systems of record.
  • Assist in the development of the Document Distribution Matrix (DDM) based on the contractor’s Approved Deliverable Register (MDR) and ensure compliance throughout the project.
  • Support the Oslo team with SDx functionality, training, troubleshooting, and system enhancements by coordinating with the DC Systems team in Canada.
  • Assist in creating and delivering training materials for in-house and contractor use.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Document Control Lead in Canada to generate and issue weekly overdue/status reports on project documents, drawings, and vendor documentation for the Document Control Supervisor and Project Managers.
  • Participate in quality audits and support both internal and external audit processes.

Qualifications:
  • Understanding the Document Control function from project inception to closeout and beyond is required.
  • Experience with Hexagon SDx is considered a strong asset.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
  • Hands-on experience in project document control within the Oil and Gas or FLNG/LNG industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (intermediate level or higher).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to change.
  • Forward-thinking with a system-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels.
  • 3+ years of experience. 
  • Ability to travel to Canada, South Korea and the USA as required.
