JOB TITLE: E&I Supervisor
Consultant reporting to: Construction Manager

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project scope is to study, design, construct, and commission a new Production unit. The targeted production capacity is 73 Million units, further to the material storage,production, and packaging equipment the physical project work includes the development of theland with groundworks, access roads, loading and unloading areas, parking lots, and construction of a new approx. 26,500 m2 production building, and new power supply from the grid with the distribution. The new plant will replace the current plant 30km from the site.
SUMMARY The EC&I Supervisor shall follow all the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation activities in the construction site, ensuring the successful completion of the project on schedule and within budget.
Ensure compliance, be it to standards (from Yara or Contractors), safety, specifications, UK legislation, etc., and the ability to take immediate action to stop work to remedy if required. This includes maintaining the highest quality, and supervising field personnel while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Shall participate in all daily meetings to have an overall view of planned activities and interfaces. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects. Will report directly to the Construction Manager, and indirectly to the Project Manager.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor Contractor Activities: Oversee and monitor the EPC contractor's E&I work, ensuring it aligns with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Proceed with regular field activities following, site inspections, and audits, and ensure proper installation, testing, Pre-commissioning, and commissioning of E&I systems.
• QA/QC: Review and verify the quality of E&I installations, ensuring adherence to the approved design, drawings, and technical specifications. Ensure any deviations are identified and addressed promptly. Conduct inspections and manage punch lists for E&I work.
• Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on the status of E&I works, including progress, challenges, and any potential delays. Highlight key issues or risks that require attention.
• Safety & Compliance: Actively participate in safety meetings and promote safe work practices on site. Ensure the contractor follows all the Project safety protocols, and ensure all E&I activities comply with UK health, safety, and environmental regulations (HSE). Conducting regular safety inspections related to E&I activities. Enforce Project safety protocols. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot E&I issues on site, proposing and implementing effective solutions to mitigate delays and quality concerns.
• Documentation & Reporting: Ensure proper documentation of E&I works, including technical and progress reports, quality checks, as-built drawings, and accurate records of E&I works including daily logs. Verify testing and commissioning procedures are properly documented ensuring proper documentation for commissioning and handover.
• Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate E&I activities and address any site issues or design changes.
• Interface with EPC Contractor: Serve as the key point of contact for E&I matters between the Project Team and EPC contractor. Facilitate communication to ensure smooth progress and resolve any site-related E&I issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• 5+ years’ experience as E&I Supervisor (especially focused on process Plants) ).
• Comprehensive knowledge of software programs, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project,
and PowerPoint.
• Ability to write reports and professional correspondence to vendors and clients.
• Good reading comprehension of technical documents, such as safety regulations, P&ID’s,
Electrical Schematics, Functional Loop Diagrams, assembly and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with all personnel on site, particularly when addressing customers, clients, and official visitors to the site.
• Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to suggest
solutions for deficiencies or problems.
• Ability to be “mobile” for several hours and walk-in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground.
• Experience with managing demanding clients and offering creative solutions to meet commitments and requests.
• Experience in managing construction schedules and manpower histograms, detecting possible deviations on time to make decisions.
• Ability to create and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, clients, and
official visitors for the purpose of collaborative working.
• Qualifications surpassing or equivalent to, C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and
NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations
• Working knowledge of BS EN 61511 regulations for the specification, design, installation,
operation, and maintenance of a safety instrumented system (SIS) is highly desirable.
• Certification and understanding in BS7671 - The Requirements for Electrical Installations,
18th Edition is desirable.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements, including risk assessment and mitigation methods.
• Experience in leading and managing associated responsibilities for the successful delivery
of the installation and commissioning of industrial electrical services
• Have a valid CSCS card compatible with the function.
