As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Method Engineers – Electro/Telecom, Lifting & Rigging, Scaffolding and Piping with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
 
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
 
What will you be doing?
  • Establish, update, and maintain construction methods and sequences.
  • Prepare constructability documents and implement construction and HSSE friendly design.
  • Contribute to establishment of schedules.
  • Follow up and verify that methods are reflected in project schedules.
  • Participate in design reviews, focus on constructability.
  • Organize and lead meetings as required.
  • Ensure involvement from the project’s personnel in development of construction methods.
  • Give input to lessons learned reports and workshops, give input to improvement of routines and procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all areas within Method discipline, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Construction Engineering and Construction.
 
Qualifications we think you should have:
  • Good knowledge of the work processes within the discipline that is being carried out.
  • Minimum 2-year experience from EPC processes within Topside and facilities / Renewables Segments.
  • Technical / Bachelor’s degree. Lack of education can be compensated with relevant work experience.
  • Skilled in MS Office 365 (MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Planner, MS Teams, MS SharePoint).
  • Good knowledge of E3D, PDMS, MIPS, NAVIS and ProArc.
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both verbally and written language.
