We are recruiting for Enterprise Applications Functional Specialist
 
Job Description
Provide support to current users of all DPE applications including ERP (Oracle) and Non-ERP applications to achieve maximum benefits' realization. Include ensuring user documentation is prepared, that users are provided with training, and that appropriate security and authorizations are in place.

Monitor on-going usage of Oracle and other enterprise applications, identifying issues/opportunities for system improvement. Work with users, key users, and other support groups in developing changes within the existing systems, including customizing to meet user specifications, ensuring that any customisation and system changes have full business justification from Business Process Owners. Work with the users in the review and testing of approved system modifications. Coordinate any work to be done by external consultants, reviewing their inputs, and consulting with users.

Responsible for providing functional support, testing of bug fixes, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), preparation of User Manuals, training of users for Oracle and other enterprise applications.

Provide functional support for the following Oracle modules:
HR
Sourcing
Procurement
Inventory

Responsible for Oracle User Management by following applicable processes.

Responsible for assigning the Service Tickets related to applications on a timely manner to the responsible technical authority.

Provide support in completing internal and external audit requirements, by running the required scripts, providing evidence and conducting workshops

Support business applications in the following business areas
Medical Clinic
Weather System
Vessel Tracking System 

Assist the business in reviewing business processes to determine which functionality should be implemented to streamline the process and achieve maximum benefits. Lead workshops to address cross-functional issues and processes that need to be reviewed / resolved. Provide on-going support to users and key users, responding to their requests for problem resolution, system training and improvements. Refer appropriate requests on to software / support vendors and liaises with them for the resolution of user problems.

Keep colleagues in other areas of Information Technology (IT) advised of all relevant operations and developments, involving them in systems integration activities. Participate in developing and maintaining the Company's relationships and service agreements.

Manage small to medium scale IT projects from requirements gathering through to planning and execution, while adhering to DPE IT policy and processes.

Adherence to all internal Company and IT policies and procedures, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Change, Incident and Problem Management processes and DPE Project Management processes.

Assist the business in reviewing the business processes in relation to system functionality.

Manage, develop, and implement projects to enhance the utilisation and performance of the system. Expand and/or enhance the delivered value of the system to the business.

Maintain technical knowledge by keeping up to date with relevant software developments locally and globally to ensure that the Company achieves maximum business benefits from its on-going agreements.

To provide advanced onsite and remote support to the company IT system users for all DPE applications, reporting systems and related systems and databases.
 
Job Requirements: Qualifications
Degree educated in IT or a related discipline, e.g. Computer Science / Information Systems Experience Profile:
15+ years’ IT industry experience.
10+ years’ experience in a direct user-facing functional consulting role.
Upstream oil/gas industry experience is necessary.
Technical and Functional experience in Web Applications and SharePoint is necessary. Functional experience in the following applications: - Oil and Gas Management Application (must, e.g. Avocet, OFM etc.) - SharePoint (must) - Web Applications (must) - SQL Server Reporting Services {SSRS} (must) - PI/PI Vision (advantage) - Tableau / Power BI / any other Analytical tools (advantage)
SQL Database Administration experience is necessary
Experience in the Application Servers – IIS/Tomcat
Experience of following ITIL framework / processes a strong advantage  
Other Competencies / Skills / Others Knowledge of Production (Oil and Gas) Finance, Supply Chain and Asset Management procedures.
Solid understanding of relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL).
The following coding skills is a must; ASP. Net, C#, Angular, SQL and jQuery.  Small scale project management experience essential.
Exceptional knowledge of Windows / MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Project.
Willingness and ability to take ownership and personal responsibility of issues and drive them through to successful resolution. P
professional, positive, can-do attitude with a sense of urgency for task completion. Team player who can guide/advise junior colleagues within the department.
Strong customer focused attitude is essential.
Excellent problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
Ability to confidently speak to large groups / lead workshops.
Proven ability to work independently, priorities tasks, set, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Business Objects reporting systems / reporting and analytical tool is an advantage
