Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Architect – 12 Months Contract – Remote (UK)

8 hours per day, 5 days per week

Remote with the odd business trip to the Middle East

Good experience working within the Oil & Gas industry 

The Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Architect will lead the design, implementation, and management of all enterprise infrastructure solutions covering digital workplace, cloud services, and in-country Data Centres. A key element of this role will be ensuring system reliability, data security, and scalable infrastructure.

Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Architect Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions that support the  Digital Workplaces, Cloud Services, and in-country Data Centres.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of all infrastructure systems.
• Leads the migration and integration of on-premises systems and cloud environments.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with other IT and business teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Manage infrastructure projects from conception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
• Continuously monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements as necessary.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Architect Desirable Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure design and management.
• Professional certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
• Proven experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of data security principles and practices.
• Experience in managing Data Centres and ensuring their optimal performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong project management skills and experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in network architecture, server management, and storage solutions.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong Team player with demonstrated ability in consensus building to ensure excellent stakeholder engagement, alignment and ethical decision-making. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Essential Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Desirable proficiency in Arabic and/or Kurdish.
