Chevron Australia are seeking an Environmental Specialist for a 2-year contract with potential to extend. This role will be based on Barrow Island on a 2/2 roster rotation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing practical environmental guidance and support to the WA Oil Asset (frontline teams, leaders and Business Partners) with a focus on compliance with environmental regulatory requirements and driving environmental performance improvement using Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) principles
- Conducting field based environmental safeguard assurance, verification and validation activities
- Supporting site based environmental activities, including ground and vegetation disturbance, environmental assessments and fauna handling activities
- Support development and delivery of environmental training and awareness initiatives to increase environmental fluency
- Building productive working relationships across all stakeholders, including Asset Personnel, Business Partners, HSE, and other support teams, to facilitate alignment and execution efficiency of environmental activities, safeguards and processes
- Facilitate incident investigations and learning events using Chevron approved Incident investigation methodologies (e.g. 5-Why, SAFE, Y-tree and Learning Teams)
- Environmental qualification (degree or diploma).
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to take a ‘one team’ approach working in a small team and collaborating effectively with others.
- Prior experience in a field based environmental role.
- Prior experience in assurance and fauna handling.
