Our valued client is seeking a Field Operator in the Grande Prairie/Hythe area for a 1-year contract, transitioning to an employee position. The shift is 8 days on and 6 days off, with an on-call rotation. Candidates must be local to the area.
This position is responsible for operating sour Montney wells with gas lift operations, including routine pigging and testing.

This position is responsible for operating sour Montney wells with gas lift operations, including routine pigging and testing.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license;
- Technical and/or Trades education is an asset;
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Sour Gas Operating experience
- GPO, PFO, FPHO or 4th Class Power Engineering Certificates would be considered an asset/preferred
- Experience in gas lift operations is an asset;
- Display mechanical aptitude;
- Demonstrate understanding of plant and field activities;
- Demonstrate understanding of basic flows and equipment;
- Safety ticket(s) such as First Aid Ticket; H2S Alive (field where required); TDG/WHMIS and others would be considered an asset;
- Be able to perform physical job requirement which may include, but are not limited to, lifting up to 75 lbs and handling repetitive activities such as bending, climbing, twisting, kneeling, sitting, etc.;
- Effective communication, organizational and team skills complemented with a strong work ethic.
