NES Fircroft is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry.

Our valued client is seeking a Field Operator near Lloydminster, SK for a 1-year contract. This is an 8/6 shift, working 10 hours per day.  This role requires candidates to use their own truck, with a truck rate of $25/hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and Monitor Equipment: Oversee the operation of pumps, compressors, and other Midstream production equipment. Ensure all machinery is functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in safety meetings.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment. Report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.
  • Data Collection: Record and analyze production data. Use this information to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Ensure all operations comply with environmental regulations. Participate in initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including equipment failures and environmental incidents. Participate in emergency response drills.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other field operators, engineers, and management to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively and provide support as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in oil and gas operations is preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications: Valid safety certifications (e.g., H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS) are required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment. Must be able to work on a rotating shift schedule.
