NES Fircroft are partnered with a Energy industry giant who are looking to add a Flow Assurance Engineer to their team working on a deep and shallow water offshore based project.
The role will work from client offices in La Defense, Paris. It will be contract based for an initial 12 months duration and will join the project at execution phase.
Role Overview
The purpose of the service activities is to carry out all the technical flow assurance studies for the offshore block, as part of the installations necessary for the development of the first field of the development. Carrying out all the flow assurance studies for the project including preparing and monitoring of the HIPS file, when necessary.
Responsibilities
• Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior with regards to HSE, implement HSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
• Preparation of documents bringing together the design bases necessary for flow assurance studies, requiring consultation with other disciplines, and integration of the results of fluid analyzes for which data must be obtained.
• Definition of the flow assurance studies to be carried out at each stage of the studies, together with the identification of assistance and subcontracting needs. The provider will be monitoring and completing all the required studies.
• Management of the progress of flow assurance activities, advice and guidance of technical contractor and project teams involved in Flow-Assurance activities, proposal of necessary technical decisions on time.
• Verification of the proper production of internal deliverables and contractor deliverables relating to the Flow Assurance discipline (quality and deadlines).
• Be the focal point for Flow Assurance for the various reviews and technical audits planned (i.e. preparation, monitoring, closure).
• Selection and optimal sizing of networks and definition of their operability regarding hydraulic, thermal and fluid risks or design constraints linked to the different packages; investigation into possible design options and carrying out sensitivity studies to make the necessary technical decisions.
• Definition and preparation of summary documents of the flow assurance data necessary for each package according to the study stages.
• Ensure that all flow assurance and process studies are consistent with operating philosophy. Highlight any modification in the operating philosophy that is shown necessary by flow assurance and process studies
• Participate to HAZID/HAZOP, PID review, safety engineering review as required for Process/FA discipline
Qualifications & Experience required
Qualification: Master’s degree in engineering, with specialization in subsea pipeline/risers,
• At least 15 years professional experience in Oil & Gas deepwater projects, as Installation Engineer,
onshore and offshore,
• Knowledge of client Referential, as well relevant codes and standards,
• Good communication skills, dynamism, high motivation, ability to convince, organized, leadership and ability to put issues into perspective Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment
