Head of Origination (Offtake, Renewables)

International energy group that specializes in energy trading, with a longstanding presence in Poland is looking for a leader of origination team as part of it's growth.


Responsibilities:

• Ongoing observation and critical analysis of the situation on the Polish energy market,
• Identifying key markets and products that should be a priority,
• Creating and regularly updating market and product analyses, with particular emphasis on potential transactions,
• Maintaining close relationships with the sales and trading teams,
• Compliance with company procedures and rules concerning the implementation, approval and handling of documentation,
• Preparing, presenting and ongoing updating of project documentation,
• Effective planning and management of available resources, both internal and external,
• Cooperation with legal, risk and credit departments to obtain the necessary opinions and consents,
• Active search for new clients in the industrial sector,
• Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential business partners in cooperation with other departments

Requirements:

• Understanding of risk management principles,
• Ability to manage a team,
• Knowledge of regulations regulating the energy market,
• Proficiency in using software used in the energy industry,
• Higher education or equivalent (economics, engineering, mathematics),
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial position,
• At least 8 years of professional experience in sales, trade and trading of structured products (gas, electricity, environmental products) and derivatives on the energy market,
• Very good knowledge of MS Office,
• Polish at native level,
• Knowledge of English at a level that allows fluent communication at work.
