HVAC Specialist (Resident)

JOB TITLE HVAC specialist SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION Reporting to:Lead, FOPS Stock & Supply (N+1), PCM Head (N+2)Position in the Field Operations Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) / PCM ACCOUNTABILITIES Ensure NOC rules, specifications and procedures are followed in the execution of PM and CM works. Maintenance in line with organizational strategic objectives, targets and plans.Responsible for the technical administration of all Control and communication systems spare parts for Field operation, MRP setting and levelling, Identification of Critical Spare parts, refurbishment strategy with cost effective mindset. JOB DIMENSIONS · Provide maintenance Electrical Engineering support for Stock within FOPS in accordance with approved NOC procedures, guidelines, design limitations, technical standards and legislative requirements.· Position requires technical expertise and experience in the offshore static equipment, piping and valves. ACTIVITIES · Contributing and assist the team lead to develop and maintain an incident free environment through maintaining a strong safety culture.· Ensuring compliance with HSE (occupational) legislation, Company standards and procedures for continuous process, operational Safety & Plant Integrity.· Provide robust PPM and CM data with good engineering practice and company standards to support safe and efficient planning, preparation, execution and close out of base operations, campaign and shutdown maintenance activities to ensure high equipment reliability and availability.· Visit offshore sites on task or project basis to enhance collaboration and supervision to sites to ensure successful delivery of job scopes.· Manage the repair process for critical equipment, including visits to local vendor workshops and warehouses.· Review Quality control allocated to Materials to optimize supply Leadtime.· Conduct the review of MRP to set appropriate level of safety stock to Functional locations.· Create Material sap ref. or update the material cards where required.· Identify duplicate material sap ref.· Clear material cards on urgent basis to allow the supply (block for Procurement)· Define the critical spare parts to allocate to Offshore stock.· Support on the project of obsolescence identification to optimize the response time of supply chain.· Any other ad-hoc tasks as directed by Team Lead. CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT Position is in a Joint Venture Operating Company on the Al Shaheen oil and gas field, one of the largest offshore oil and gas fields in the world. The role is onshore based in Doha, Qatar and is a permanent staff position on a residential basis (5 day working week). Role will require regular offshore trips together with visits to contractor offices and facilities. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED NOC-C-601(v.2) 119 [insert the reference number]
Controlled
· Degree or industry recognized technical qualifications supported by industry experience (offshore and onshore oil
and gas facilities).
· Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry in a similar role. Supervisory experience an
advantage.
· Skilled and experienced in working in a multi- cultural and highly technical specialized environment.
· Thorough understanding and application of industry process safety guidelines and procedures.
· Thorough knowledge of cross discipline maintenance requirements, Computerized
· Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and planning processes.
· Expert user of SAP Maintenance module
· Skills on repair and stock Strategy
· Versatile, resilient and able to interact effectively with peers and Management on daily basis.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a large team.
· Medically fit to travel to offshore oil & gas platform
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Industry recognized training and professional certification.
· Electrical Habilitation
· Electrical Safety Awareness
