Role: Incident & Learning Team Lead
Location: Basra, Iraq
Rate: Competitive
Duration: 12 months
Rotation: 28/28
Role Synopsis:
Be prepared to lead, participate in, or coach any significant incident investigation anywhere across Rumaila Operating Organisation.
First point of contact for business departments to assist with notification, investigation, and learning activities
Conduct SV of investigation quality and effectiveness. Coach and mentor as necessary to drive consistently high-quality incident investigations
Own and drive investigation & learning quality and capability in accountable region(s)
Facilitate and improve organisational learning processes to ensure systematic, compliant and sustainable implementation of lessons from incidents.
Coach, mentor, train and assess investigators to develop and maintain competencies, including delivery of CLC Investigator Training.
Identify insights and recommendations from incident investigations that inform cross-departmental action to reduce the risk of incidents and strengthen operations
Where appropriate, provide coaching and support to contractor led investigations.
Key Accountabilities:
• Lead significant incident investigations
• Facilitate and improve Learning Processes
• Drive up quality of investigations & learning across departments
• Own associated documentation and training delivery

Deliver HSE goals and reporting in accordance with requirements and maintain internal relationships regarding HSE matters in order to identify emerging issues, transfer relevant best practice and promote continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Implement continuous improvement activities when opportunities are identified.
Key capabilities including mindset/values and behaviours/leadership expectations:
• Experienced Safety Professional educated to degree level as a minimum
• Experience working in multi-national JV operations
• Deep experience as a Senior Investigator
• Learning Lead experience preferred
• Independent thinker, able to communicate leadership and challenge respectfully and appropriately
• Innovative & forward thinking
Qualifications:
Chartered member of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors or equivalent.
