Industrial Painter/Blaster

Job Overview:

• The Painter/Blaster is responsible for performing blasting and painting utilizing marine coatings. This individual is knowledgable about blasting and painting specifications such as blast profiles, millage requirements, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Requires a minimum 3 years experience with painting/blasting in an industrial environment and prior shipyard experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Ablility to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications.
• Ability to identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies.
• Must be able to wear required PPE including a protective suit and respirator.
• Ability to set up, operate, and maintain equipment including spray guns and paint boothsAbility to multitask, learn quickly, and meet deadlines as needed
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, learn quickly, and manage time effectively and efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

• Must also be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Walking, stepping, climbing, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, climbing, crawling, or sitting for long periods of time.
• Working in confined work areas and/or elevated heights
• Adjusting to varying temperatures, outdoor environments, and extended exposure to dust, moisture, humidity, loud noises, and vibrations.
• Lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
