Infrastructure Systems Lead Architect – 12 Months Contract – Iraq (rotational)

Rotation - 28 Days On (Residential) / 28 Days Leave - 12 hour working days.

Core Knowledge: Enterprise architecture, scalability, & infrastructure design best practices. Relevant certifications (eg: CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE) MCSA / MCSE / MCITP / MCE / MCA (server-focused), Azure Solutions Architect Expert). Extensive knowledge of:  TCP/IP networking. Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP). Network security principles. Cloud networking architectures. Virtualization technologies. Software-defined networking. Network automation tools. PIN/PCN. Industrial WIFI. Data center operations & hyperconverged technologies. Remote oilfield telecoms. Advanced Proficiency: Experience with: Enterprise network design. Cloud network architectures. Network security implementation. Performance optimization. Network automation. Proven track record of designing enterprise-level network solutions. Hybrid cloud setup, administration, & management (Azure, Azure Stack, ASR, AFS, Azure AD, ExpressRoute, Intune, Automation). Microsoft Exchange configuration (On-Premise, Online, Hybrid) & migration strategies. SQL setup, administration, & clustering, especially in dense environments. Remote & secure working technologies (AVD, RDS, Citrix, WVD) with modern profile management.

The Infrastructure Systems Lead Architect oversees the design, deployment, & management of critical IT&C infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, scalability, & security in support of organizational objectives. This role manages introduction of new systems to the infrastructure an ensure their seamless integration with existing infrastructure with least impact to day-to-day operations, complex projects with overall goal of increasing infrastructure performances, reliability & sustainability.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Infrastructure Systems Lead Architect is highly experienced in network architecture & remote oilfield telecoms design & aligns ITC infrastructure with business goals, ensures regulatory compliance, & optimizes vendor relationships for service efficiency. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, & strategic vision with a focus on digital transformation. A deep understanding of infrastructure design principles is essential, emphasizing scalable, secure, & forward-looking solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Infrastructure Systems Lead Architect - Key Accountabilities     
  • Lead the design, deployment, & maintenance of IT&C infrastructure & network operations ensuring systems are secure, scalable, & architected to meet current & future needs of the business.
  • Develop roadmaps that incorporate digital transformation & cloud strategies, aligning these roadmaps with business & IT&C strategy
  • Manage infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, tracking progress, reporting on project & incident statuses, & meeting performance metrics.
  • Ensure all systems & processes meet regulatory & compliance requirements, proactively identifying & mitigating risks to service delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships & contracts to ensure optimal service levels & cost efficiency, maximizing value from infrastructure service agreements.
  • Develop & maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations, procedures, & best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Architect hybrid solutions to integrate on-premise & cloud environments, facilitating interoperability & seamless adoption of future services suitable for remote industrial sites
  • Manage resource allocation & optimize system configurations to meet evolving organizational needs & maximize infrastructure performance.
  • Identify opportunities for technology upgrades & improvements, piloting innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure capabilities & support organizational growth

Infrastructure Systems Lead Architect - Criteria & Qualifications             
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications (eg: CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE) MCSA / MCSE / MCITP / MCE / MCA (server-focused), Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
  • 10+ years in IT, IT project management, Network operations & design
  • Experience in infrastructure planning, design, or architecture, with a focus on scalability & security.
