NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with a major Oil and Gas operator who are looking for a Package Interface Engineer to join their team working in UAE.

The role will be working on a flag ship Oil & Gas project (site based in Iraq) and aims to boost Gas production on an operational field to meet the increasing demand for Electricity supply. The role will join the project in FEED phase and be based from external design contractor offices in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The position will work on a contract basis, initial duration will be for 1 Year with extension possibilities. In return the individual selected for this role will be provided with an attractive day rate and associated contractor package.

Job dimensions QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Degree in appropriate Engineering discipline.
  • Registration as a Charted Engineer, PE or equivalent preferred
  • Proficient in English language.
  • Ten (10) or more years’ experience in Oil and Gas and large projects.
  • Knowledge of Onshore Gas production facilities in desert based environments and construction activities
  • Ability to assimilate, organize and integrate information from numerous sources and communicate effectively with internal project and external teams and stakeholders.
Activities:
 
  • Supports the Assets and Contractors Interface Manager in the following:
    • Packages Interface Management
    • Identify early arising issues related to interface and proactively prepare and implement mitigations plans
    • Organise weekly and/or monthly coordination meetings with other gas fields compression project PMT, interfacing with the gas hub project
    • Identify all interfaces resulting from the split of work packages and make sure the corresponding split of responsibilities is covered
    • Contribute to the evaluation of engineering, procurement, construction, installation and review/approval of deliverables from the design contractor (Engineering drawings, calculation notes, specifications, procedures...)
    • Organise technical meetings to follow up progress, explain main comments, and provide guidance etc.
    • Meetings: keep regular and good quality communication with his/her counterpart(s) on Interfacing Operators/Contractor's side.
    • Reporting to Assets and Contractors Interface Manager, with regards to his/her discipline: main technical issue, area of concern, progress, quality etc. Propose mitigation measures when drift is noticed
    • Ensure lessons learnt from previous project is well integrated in the project for his/her discipline
    • To comply with HSE requirements and to support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives
    • To support and implement the Project HSE management system (plans, procedure and specifications)
