The IT Business Analyst (ITBA) has the overall responsibility of enhancing the quality of IT products and services, analysing data to inform business decisions, and finding technological solutions to business needs.The ITBA will work with business lines to document and score functional business requirements and technical business requirements.The ITBA will utilize functional business requirement and technical business requirement scoring to assist with solution selections.
Business partnering:
• Partners Collaboratively:
Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks opportunities tocollaborate across the matrix/organizational boundaries to achieve business goals
• Ensure business specific roadmaps/plans are aligned with business plans and regularlyupdated and aligned with business stakeholders
• Manage the process of demand intake, funding, and the expectation of businessstakeholders, and alignment to IT and other service stakeholders
• Provide input into business planning, LRP, and department budget process
Business Analysis:
• Ensure stakeholder management throughout the business analysis process.
• Elicit and document requirements of business and technical stakeholders.
• Manage requirements lifecycle, test cases, assist with UAT where appropriate.
• Accountable for business processes modelling and re-design.
• Responsible to provide input into solution evaluation, and selection.
• Accountable for producing documentation
Project Management:
• Manage low-rigor/minor projects in-line with standards and guidelines.
• Network with other Business Analysts, for peer review, and knowledge sharing.
• Manage projects in-line with internal project services processes.
Required Qualifications
Experience in area of business process/function specialization
Demonstrated experience leading/facilitating workshopsAbility to communicate, influence and build networks with technical/nontechnical stakeholdersBusiness/commercial acumen

- IIBA Level 2 (CBAP) accredited
- Project management experience, and accreditation
- Broad understanding and appreciation of the IT technology deployed within enterprise and field applications
- 5-10+ years as a Business Analyst role, or role close to the business
- Highly Regarded:
- Previous experience working in an Oil & Gas Environment
- Alaska experience preferred
