Job Title: Junior Project Coordinator
Location: Saskatoon, SK preferred (would consider Regina, SK locals) – candidates must be eligible for work in Canada
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6-month extensions
Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, the Jr. Project Coordinator plays a critical role in major projects, ensuring successful planning, monitoring and execution of projects. The role is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and administering various project controls activities. This role involves coordinating month end duties, SAP reports and SAP project set up activities, LEM coordinator and data entry to support project forecasting.
Responsibilities:
Budget Support:
  • Assist Project Managers with the processing of the approved budget requests.
  • Support project team to maintain the approved budget requests in SAP.
  • Assist the project controls team in setting up new projects.
  • Annual budget planning coordination for data entry into approved submission form.
  • Loading the annual approved budgets from the Mid-Term Planning Process.
Reporting Support:
  • Generate regular SAP cost reports for project stakeholders. 
  • Coordination support with project controllers to complete Monthly Project Reports.
  • Team Investment support as required for projects with or/without an assigned project controller.
  • Updating the Monthly Dashboard report
Forecasting Support:
  • Ensuring Project Forecasts from the project managers and cost controllers are updated in SAP and reviewed by the assigned Project Controller and/or Manager, Project Controlling.
  • Forecast alignment with the project portfolio team to support overall project compensation funding.
  • Support project controllers on entering daily LEM’s in trackers to support the payment validation process.
Change Management Support:
  • Coordinates, sets up and manages the PCN database for each project.
  • Month End Coordination:
  • Coordination support for month end deliverables including gathering incurred costs for accrual support.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Finance)
  • 2-4 years’ experience
  • SAP experience is a key asset.
  • Experience in mining industry considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and planning skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Critical thinking skills
