NES Fircroft are looking for a Lead Document Controller to join a major operator supporting a multi billion dollar project in Dubai.

MAIN MISSIONS
- Manage all document control activities for Early Infrastructure Works (EIW) and Network Pipelines (NWP) to ensure proper organization, distribution, and storage of project documents.
- Maintain and update the project’s document management system to ensure timely access to accurate and up-to-date information.
- Collaborate with project teams and contractors to ensure adherence to document control standards and procedures.
- Provide support in the preparation, submission, and review of project documentation, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Promote a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture by ensuring that all document control activities are performed safely and in compliance with the company’s HSE standards.
- Establish and maintain the project’s document control system, ensuring traceability and accessibility of all records.
- Ensure proper classification, indexing, and archiving of all project documents, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to collect and verify the accuracy and completeness of submitted documentation.
- Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner and maintain records of transmittals.
- Support project audits and inspections by providing accurate and organized documentation.
- Monitor and report on document control performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Train project team members and contractors on document control procedures and best practices.
- Provide support in the preparation of final project documentation and handover packages.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure proper classification, organization, and accessibility of project documentation to support seamless project execution.
- Contribute to project efficiency by maintaining accurate and up-to-date document control systems and procedures.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation to facilitate decision-making by stakeholders.
- Address and resolve document-related issues proactively to avoid disruptions to project progress.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 years in document control roles, preferably in Oil and Gas projects.
- At least 3 years managing document control activities in large-scale infrastructure or pipeline projects.
- Proficiency in document management systems and tools (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, or similar).
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Familiarity with document control standards and best practices.
- Degree or diploma in Document Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
