Working as a Electrical Lead Engineer, you will contribute to our clients new Electrolysis technology market, and be in charge of designing the HV stations and HV Electrical Systems of our EPC Electrolysers projects in Europe.
You will also contribute to key O&G projects led by E&C Europe around the world in technologies such as: Air Separation Units, MegaMethanols Units, Carbon Capture Plants or Green Fuels Units etc.

Objectives and deliverables
Key responsibilities:
• Design of Electrical System for petrochemical and refinery industry with respect to the High Voltage scope.
• Clarification on the interfaces with the Electrical Grid Operator on the grid characteristics and expected performances at the battery limit
• Planning, managing, monitoring, reviewing and approving the discipline’s work regarding appropriate quality, project specifications and contractual requirements
• Preparation of project documentation for HV including project specifications, one line diagrams, protection and control schematic diagrams, terminal connection diagrams, substation layouts; Definition of the control and protection philosophy of HV substations;
• Execution of electrical calculations including grid connection and harmonic studies;
• Coordinates of Package Units, interfaces to other discipline, client and vendors;
• Preparation of inquiry packages for HV electrical equipment following contractual and project specification requirements;
• Participation in Factory Acceptance Tests for electrical equipment
• Verification of project and vendor documentation with respect to its completeness and accordance with standards, branch regulations and contract requirements;
Competencies and Profile:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • 8+ years experience in a plant engineering company as an Electrical Engineer in the HV area;
  • A must: Experience in specification and design of the High Voltage substation equipment (50kV and above), CBs, VTs, CTs, LAs, line & earth disconnectors switches, HV cables including HV/MV Power Transformers AIS and GIS switchgear units,
  • A must: Experience in the design and specification of control and protection systems of HV substations (BCU, RTU, protections functions, metering devices, energy meters,...);
  • Familiar with international standards (IEC, IEEE, …) mainly with those related to HV and MV substations;
  • Experience in definition of manual / electrical interlock systems and earth system;
  • Familiar with civil work engineering related to HV substations, mainly, oil pit, gantries and clearances between HV equipment and CW buildings.
  • Strong experience in calculations and analysis of calculation notes related to:
    • Short circuit;
    • Load flow;
    • Harmonics;
    • CT & VT calculation notes;
    • Protection coordination;
    • Earth network;
    • Motor acceleration studies
  • Communication and coordination with other disciplines regarding his scope of work and considering the “work flow”
  • Ability to work independently on the preparation of proposals and execution of projects for Electrical for domestic and international projects;
  • Coordination of vendors, suppliers, manufacturers; Coordination of interfaces with client’s technical discipline specialists
  • ETAP software or other power system analysis software knowledge would be beneficial,
  • Computer skills, knowledge of applications such as MS Office, AutoCAD
  • Eager to work in a multicultural team, willing to travel short term to other engineering centers and construction sites worldwide;
  • High interpersonal skills
