SERVICE TITLE
Position:
Lead Fabric Maintenance - Offshore
SERVICE DIMENSIONS
• Carry out all inspection (NI/NC) notification prescribed works and other corrective actions on all sites associated with structures, pipes and other
support activities to operations like spading, scaffolding etc...
• Expenditure of Total budget value of about 10 MUSD per year.
• Manage 5 to 10 personnel (project engineers and supervisors)
• Prepare and defend work programs with partners and engagement with other stakeholders
ACTIVITIES
• Pursue within FO site team the HSE objectives defined by line management
• Carryout Emergency and Routine Maintenance work activities offshore, to include but not limited to repair of flowlines, pipelines and
structural repairs.
• Ensures all NI/NC notifications are properly assessed and assigned to the right teams for execution and completion of works
• To extend the work scopes to include Stainless and Duplex steel piping works, larger diameter piping repairs and new installations.
• Introduction to GRE/GRP materials in piping, grating and handrails maintenance.
• He is the Company’s representative in charge of these activities and Company main contact for the Emergency and Fabric Maintenance
work works external Contractors
• Participates in the routine FO, HSE etc. and follow up scheduled actions
• Manages the interfaces linked to these activities with the relevant COMPANY entities.
• Prepares (with management validation), and defends budgets related to his activities before NAPIMS.
• Prepares and ensures effective management of the various Routine Maintenance Works Contracts.
• Analyses and validates estimates provided by Contractors and verify the estimates in line with the contracts clauses.
• Supervise the preparation and the execution of the works are correctly performed.
• Organize and follow the logistics between the different onshore worksites and base.
• Organizes the receipt of the works performed (in particular the prefabrications performed in the Contractors workshops).
• Deal closely with field operations in maintenance, procurement, construction, projects and logistics for effective execution of Campaign of works.
• Ensures that the QA/QC requirements are totally respected and in line with Nigerian Regulations and Company Rules.
• Establishes & follows punch lists when required and ensure that the relevant documentation is supplied following the needs and correctly
archived
• Ensure closeout of Site intervention Notifications and Work orders in UNISUP
• Define the material stock levels and reviews stock quantities, usage and consumption to minimize the stock value, whilst ensuring that all
spare parts are available for routine, defect and shutdown maintenance.
• Coaches Fabric Maintenance Contractors and field operations staff by establishing methods to improve their technical level and expertise in
works repairs.
• Provides technical support to the JV Sites including maintenance engineers and FM supervisors on site
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
▪ Closely monitor developments in relevant local and international business environment
▪ Oil and gas production assets located Onshore and Offshore, crude storage units.
▪ Striving to achieve cost saving and best value for money in structural maintenance activities.
▪ Progress competency level of staff working in Fabric Maintenance Works entity.
▪ High HSE risks (continuous hot works, SIMOPS, confined space, scaffolding, lifting, work at height activities in aging facilities etc.)
ACCOUNTABILITIES
▪ Support JV sites in accordance to Company Rules, Statutory rules regulation in order to assure the oil and gas production targets within
the budget estimated.
▪ Ensures all Routine Maintenance Works are efficiently carried out in strict compliance with safety policies and procedures.
▪ Analyses the Routine Maintenance Works activities performance from a technical and economic perspective and takes action necessary
to achieve company set objectives regarding efficiency, cost optimization and savings.
▪ Able to manage and account up to 20 MUSD/year in the most economical manner and in the best interest of the company
HSE OBJECTIVES
• Ensure and promote the application of the Company HSE rules and specifications
• Ensure that contractors comply at all times with safety rules, taking actions as required in case of disregards of the rules, stopping the
works if they are deemed unsafe, and organizing tool-box meetings and recovery plans
• Promote safety culture within Company personnel and contractors as well as the reporting of anomalies
• Ensure and monitor the safety of personnel and installations as well as protection of the environment.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Civil or Mechanical Engineer.
▪ At least 15 to 20 years of experience in construction/ SD / Maintenance activities and management of operations in
industrial oil & gas context and project management.
▪ Capability to manage HSE aspects (in particular respect of safety rules) including management of these aspects by external entities.
▪ Specific professional knowledge: SAP/R3 (UNISUP).
▪ Good knowledge of technical rules and quality level required for these activities.
▪ Ability to work in a large multinational team.
▪ Ability to manage an integrated team.
▪ Good interpersonal and communication skills.
