You foster cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency, cost control, quality and compliance within the supply chain function. This role also involves mentoring and developing Logistics teams to enhance capabilities and achieve operational excellence.

You foster cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency, cost control, quality and compliance within the supply chain function. This role also involves mentoring and developing Logistics teams to enhance capabilities and achieve operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Staffing: ensure that proper resources are allocated to project / operations
- You develop a staffing plan by coordinating with project/operations management to define the manpower requirements and provide qualified resources
- You manage the staffing plan to suit current and future workload needs and proactively resolve any resource gaps through effective networking with other departments, locations or third party providers
- You assess project/operations requirements and staff capabilities
- You make sure the team is provided with career opportunities and training in relevant areas aligned with current and future business needs
- You provide coaching and mentoring to staff, implement and follow development plans
- You proactively address team performance issues and partner with HR as necessary to manage performance gaps
- You perform purchasing activities of logistics services appropriately (from RFQ to PO award), and participate in selection of suppliers on Projects in line with internal processes.
- You cascade and explain all deliverables provided by Strategic Sourcing and get them implemented (Group Framework Agreements, Approved Vendor Lists, benchmarks, market analysis, vendor action plans…)
- You ensure compliance with company procedures (ethics and compliance, quality and regulatory management, international and local regulations etc..)
- You are involved in project activities at the early phase to ensure realistic KPIs are set (quality, quantity schedule, costs)
- You Supervise the procedures and ensure compliance to international and local regulations
Acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) Logistics you are to:
- Support and guide in defining the best logistics strategies to be considered and to be applied on Projects.
- Act as subject matter expert with all vessel and barging operations, maintain relationship with vessel owners and negotiate BIMCO contracts accordingly offering best for project solution whiles mitigating COMPANY risk wherever possible. As/where required interface with Legal teams on final Terms and Conditions BIMCO contracts.
- Lead negotiations with market and through placements of Charter Party with selected Vessel owners, brokers.
- Manage the post contract award of the Charter Parties and execute shipments until completion of the contract
- Make sure all services are delivered in full compliance with budget, respecting contractual agreements, within the expected quality and as per schedule constraints.
- Report and liaise with logistics suppliers and services providers for any issue and any potential claims.
- Organize proper storage for all cargoes stored under his/her perimeter.
- Oversee all global activities regarding the successful and timely importation of Naval Assets and associated vessel spread(s). (Temporary Importation, Shipping Agency and management of Port calls, …)
- Participate in initiatives such as development of tools & process.
- Act as overall mentor and last point of decision making for Logistics matters in Monaco.
- Contribute and apply all relevant Company Ethics and Compliance procedures (e.g. anticorruption, bribery)
- Extensive experience in logistics management within the oil and gas industry or complex project environment.
- Strong knowledge of Logistics best practices, compliance standards, and risk management
- Experience in a similar position.
- Direct experience in management of Charter parties (specifically Supply Time, Heavycon, Bargehire and GENCON). Expertise in management of Out of Gauge and Break-Bulk shipments.
- Strong experience in coordination of transport by Sea, Air, Road for/to various destinations over the world.
- Strong Knowledge of Customs & associated regimes.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with skills in training, mentoring, and developing supply chain professionals.
