This person is responsible for:
The Maintenance planner is responsible for supporting execution of maintenance work by planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance work orders. The incumbent ensures that the equipment, parts, materials, special tools, and personnel with the required skills are ready and available when needed. The planner provides proper documentation for performed work for use in evaluation and control work activities. The planner ensures that all work is evaluated to be completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
What you will do:
  • Work safely in an industrial environment following policies and procedures
  • Plans and estimates all maintenance Work Orders by analyzing basic job steps, determining their relative sequence and identifying parts, equipment availability, materials, special tooling and skills and estimates personnel requirements for each step.
  • Utilize CMMS (Oracle) to complete job planning and estimates, track costs, document spare parts, create standard and PM jobs.
  • Optimize resources in and materials through detail WO review and coordination of schedules with operating and maintenance areas leaders
  • Orders necessary material from the Warehouse and verifies the availability via the CMMS. Works with Warehouse and Procurement personnel, and vendors to procure those parts and materials
  • Supports routine maintenance and outage planning as required
  • Assist with budgeting and record keeping, as well as other duties as assigned.
  • Work as a productive team member and continuous improvement leader
What you will bring:
  • Understanding of maintenance areas with 4-6 years maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience related considered an asset
  • Planning experience and familiarity with Oracle EAM systems considered an asset
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes as needed by the business
  • Flexibility to work on various activities and different types of tasks concurrently
  • Problem solving abilities, good decision-making skills, with ability to know when to escalate issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office required
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of EAM, SAP or other CMMS required
