NES Fircroft are currently seeking a Maintenance Specialist to work on 28/28 rotation in Basra, Iraq, supporting the development of a giant oilfield.

This is a role working in the central Maintenance & Engineering function and acting as a Maintenance Work Management ‘champion’.

PLEASE NOTE - This is not a ‘hands on’ role, not planning/executing any specific maintenance scopes, but more a strategic role driving processes and procedures and philosophies, ensuring continuity across all areas of the facilities.



Role synopsis:

The Maintenance Specialist reports to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager and is accountable for the delivery of specialist maintenance & reliability systems and capabilities which underpin efficient production and contribute to the growth of the company.
The successful candidate will have exceptional relevant experience in maintenance management with a deep understanding of risk and the ability to make informed judgments in support of business value.
Delivery of robust maintenance & reliability capabilities with a focus on skills transfer & competency development of the national workforce to ensure they have the right skills to match technology developments within the operation.


Key accountabilities:
 
  • Ensuring company has a competent, trained & qualified teams to execute all maintenance activities.
  • Responsible for the overall health of the maintenance execution process, people & tools and creating the right maintenance culture across all company stakeholders.
  • Ensure the health of the company Work Management system so that maintenance is executed effectively in support of safe & reliable operations & making interventions where appropriate.
  • Participate in a continuous improvement culture across all field maintenance activities and demonstrates performance improvement against agreed leading and lagging KPIs.
  • Continuously monitor and make improvements to the overall Maintenance Plan, including the Maintenance Build, opportunities to nest Work and level loading the resource demand.
  • Lead implementation of initiatives and programs to continue develop the maintenance & reliability organization.


Criteria & Qualifications:

Required:
  • Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Track record of Safety Leadership.
  • A mastery of CMMS (Maximo desirably)
  • Mastery of international recognized maintenance & reliability processes.
  • Mastery of Communications (written & oral) and ability to deliver briefs to audiences across the organisation.
  • Cross-functional integration.
  • People management skills (including technical and leadership development experience).
  • Performance management and delivery track record.
  • A track record of working to international standards.
Desirable
  • Professional accreditation, such as Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
  • Experience of managing contracts and sourcing of materials and services.
  • Previous experience of working in the region
  • Arabic speaker
