Maintenance Manager

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to work on 28/28 in Basra, Iraq, supporting the development of a major oilfield.

Role overview:

• The Maintenance Manager is accountable for the delivery of a safe, effective & efficient maintenance program by ensuring the company has a competent, trained & qualified team to execute all maintenance activities.
• Previous experience in a Petrochemical maintenance management role, or similar, with deep understanding of Maintenance Work Management and the ability to make informed judgments in support of business value.
• Significant people leadership and stakeholder management in an organisation of similar scale and complexity to any recognised international organisation.
• Demonstrable experience in creating value through delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Key accountabilities:
 

• Accountable for the overall health of the maintenance execution process, people & tools and creating the right maintenance culture across all stakeholders.
• Accountable for the competency of all those responsible for the execution of maintenance activities.
• Ensure the health of the Work Management system so that maintenance is executed effectively in support of safe & reliable operations & making interventions where appropriate.
• Maintaining delivery of both CO and PM work programs and backlog risk management.
• Participate in a continuous improvement culture across all maintenance activities and demonstrates performance improvement against agreed leading and lagging KPIs.
• Continuously monitor and make improvements to the overall Maintenance Plan, including the Maintenance Build, opportunities to nest Work and level loading the resource demand.
• Ensure that learnings are systematically applied to all maintenance execution activities.
• Own the Defect Elimination process & champion a reliability driven organisation. 

Required experience:
 

• Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Track record of Safety Leadership.
• Have a mastery of CMMS (Maximo)
• Mastery of international recognised maintenance & reliability processes.
• Deep discipline knowledge encompassing the full breadth of departmental activities.
• Experience of managing large contracts and sourcing of materials and services.
• Masterly of Communications (written & oral) and ability to deliver briefs to audiences across the organisation.
• Ability to make decisions and initiate actions.
• Strategic thinking and prioritisation.
• Cross-functional integration.
• People management skills (including technical and leadership development experience).
• Performance management and delivery track record.
• Business integrity.
• A track record of working to international standards.
• Professional accreditation, such as Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
