Manager - EIT & Integration Engineering
Job objectives:
Responsible for Basic, Detail engineering and follow up on Production Engineering for Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Telecom (EICT) Systems on Marine and Offshore Engineering Projects.
Key responsibilities:
• Assist development and implementation of divisional strategies and related strategic plans, which are aligned with the vision and mission of company;
• Recommends improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of EIT & Integration Engineering activities so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost effective service to customers;
• Device and implement controls to ensure no violation of ISR regulations in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties;
• Leads and guides project management teams in the planning, organizing, management and control of various projects in order to ensure that the project cycle is completed meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope and quality), standards and objectives;
• Prepares and recommends the EIT & Integration Engineering section budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed;
• Monitors the financial performance of the EIT & Integration Engineering section against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon;
• Responsible to manage and supervise Electrical, Instrument / Control, Telecom teams within company;
• Able to manage teams size of 100+ Engineers and designers;
• Plan and supervise activities for multiple FEED, Deatil Design and Production engineering activities/ projects;
• Plan, organize, prioritize and successfully execute tasks in accordance with business objectives;
• Utilize Resources Efficiently to minimize Man hours spent on projects;
• Assuring technical integrity of all EICT engineering deliverables for all relevant projects, interdiscipline coordination, managing the progress of assigned engineering scope in line with PMT requirement;
• Planning & execution for enginneering activities related to Offshore hook-up & Pre-Shut down, Shutdown & Post Shutdown activity;
• Providing technical support and coordinating preparation of operating philosophies, design calculations and system studies (Load Flow, Large Motor Starting, SC, Transient, Harmonics Analysis, Relay Coordination, Earthing) by using ETAP software;
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, quality of outputs, processes and practices taking into account best engineering practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement within EIT engineering disciplines;
• Conduct Engineering audits, risk assessment and training as required;
• Responsible to comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls and to behave in a manner, which ensures that their actions or omissions, do not adversely affect the environment, health, safety and wellbeing of themselves, colleagues, contractors or members of the public;
• Meeting all responsibilities as outlined in the company’s OHSMS;
• Participating in any training and safety initiatives implemented by the Company;
• Complying with all Safety directives, and work instructions;
• Immediately reporting any incident or potential hazard to their supervisor or Safety Dept;
• STOP the task if you feel yourself or others may be harmed;
• Ensuring that all work is properly planned, communicated, and executed safely;
• Advise workers on potential Health and Safety hazards and their controls;
• Conducting regular inspections of work areas to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions and practices;
• Reporting to Line Manager / Safety Inspector promptly regarding incidents, hazards, unsafe plant, equipment or other safety concerns;
• STOP any worker performing an unsafe act and reinforce positive attitude amongst work force;
• Device and implement controls to ensure no violation of Information Security Regulation (ISR) to protect the company information / intellectual properties;
• Ensure employees are aware and follow the information Security Rules and data security measures to protect the company information / intellectual properties;
• Integrates into the core business transformation and IT department functions to ensure activities are consistent and aligned;
• Supervises the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets;
• Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement;
• Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards;
• Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
Key requirements:
• Must be fluent in English, and Arabic will be an added advantage;
• Knowledge of additional languages is an added advantage;
• Broad technical knowledge of Electrical Power systems & Controls, Telecom & Navigation systems, Process Control System, ESD and Fire & Gas systems, Integrated Automation Systems etc. covering Basic, Detail and Production Engineering for Marine, FPSO, FSO, FSRU and Offshore Platform Projects;
• Knowledge and experienced in developing Datasheets / RFQ and follow on TBE till vendor selection for EICT Equipment Packages;
• Experienced in developing Datasheets / RFQ and follow on TBE till vendor selection for EICT Equipment Packages;
• Thorough knowledge of HV and LV System design, integration and installation;
• Broad technical knowledge of installation and commissioning of EICT systems;
• Well versed with Classification rules and Engineering Standards applicable for EICT Systems;
• Strong background with resolution of technical issues during projects planning and execution phases;
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize and successfully execute tasks in accordance with business objectives;
• Project management skills;
• Experience in marine projects, offshore topsides, facilities including FPSO, FSRU, FSO, Drilling rigs, HVAC/HVDC and Process platforms for major projects;
• Experience with performing as per IEC/IEEE, UL, NORSOK, API, NEMA, CAP-437, CAAP-71 standards, a proficient knowledge and understanding of ABS, DNV_GL, LR, BV classification requirements and IMO, SOLAS regulations;
• Thorough knowledge on DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, Network & Communication Protocols;

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Lead EICT in Engineering Office;
