Woodside Energy are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Weekend Marketing Operator to manage key operational tasks for their pipeline gas operations during weekends and public holidays. This role ensures smooth scheduling, timely responses to intraday requests, and efficient communication with stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Schedule pipeline gas operations to meet critical business deadlines.
  • Manage intraday nomination requests and process late changes efficiently.
  • Issue customer notices and revise documentation as required.
  • Respond to and manage unplanned/planned pipeline-related events.
  • Act as the primary contact via the duty phone during business hours, liaising with customers and facilities as necessary.
 
Ad-Hoc Responsibilities:
  • Handle unexpected or unplanned operational events as required.
  • Provide coverage for additional hours during extended leave or major events.
  • Support the team with redundancy coverage, ensuring consistent service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and handle unplanned events.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage critical deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with customers and internal teams.
  • Previous experience in gas scheduling, operations, or a similar field is advantageous.
Skills & Experience:
  • Degree qualification: Desirable but not essential; practical experience in Business, Commerce, Finance, or related fields is highly valued.
  • Relevant experience: Background in contracts management, finance, or production planning preferred, especially in complex environments.
  • Oil and gas industry experience: Highly advantageous, particularly with pipeline scheduling, gas nominations, and industry-specific processes.
  • Excel skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) essential for data management and analysis.
Additional Information:
  • Training & upskilling: A structured training period will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is equipped for the role.
  • Compensation: Additional hours worked beyond standard requirements will be compensated appropriately.
  • Background: This role replaces a previous weekend operator position within the WA Ops team, offering redundancy and team capability-building opportunities.

Core Business Hours:

Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (8 hours)

Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays:
8:30 AM – 10:30 AM (2 hours)
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (2 hours)
