We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Coordinator for a Global Oil & Gas Operator in Darwin, NT on a rolling contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the planning, coordination of implementation activities to the agreed schedule.
- Overview all operations and maintenance activities from an implementation viewpoint while maintaining an open approach to all problems
- Provide engineering support to the operations and maintenance team and subcontractors.
- Review specifications to ensure all technical aspects of contract are clear and understood.
- Review/approve and prepare all work packs, Inspection and Test Plans, associated method statements, and close out instructions.
- Provide written reports on implementation activities as required by the Operations & Maintenance Coordinator.
- Provide support and technical input in the development of work packs for the commissioning of installations and repairs.
- Coordinate design reviews
- Develop request for quotation (RFQ) and scope of work (SOW) documentation for third party services in compliance with processes and procedures.
- Create cost time and resources (CTR) documentation for approval.
- Ensure that extensions to scope, scope variation/change and cost overruns are documented and agreed with service provider.
- Keep up to date with procedural and system changes.
- Amend SAP work orders to ensure the system reflects work that is carried out.
- Provide to cost engineers weekly tasks/scope of work progress reports.
- Review/approve Work Instructions and Work Packs.
