We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Calgary, AB to design, develop, and test mechanical systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in CAD software, mechanical engineering, and attention to detail.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance our products and technologies.
This is a 1 year contract position with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and refine CAD models (Inventor) for equipment
- Identify design deficiencies and recommend improvements
- Design R&D scale equipment
- Provide technical feedback on plant proposals
- Collaborate on repairs and upgrades for equipment
- Manage vendor relationships and client site visits
- Assist in budgeting, cost estimates, and project management
- Adhere to health and safety protocols
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred)
- P.Eng. registered with APEGA
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience
- 3+ years of experience with 3D CAD & FEA
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of sustainable engineering and safe work procedures
- Previous experience in a start-up environment is a plus
- Experience with Solidsworks
