Our client, an oil and gas operator, currently requires a Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a contract basis.

The Role

Manage the planning and execution of Mechanical maintenance support for an offshore field. The Mechanical Engineer would report to the Field Maintenance Manager and would have the following responsibilities:
• Manage all mechanically biased PM and CM maintenance activities to meet company KPIs
• Management of vendors to deliver scope
• Responsible for controlling mechanical budget
• Liaise with Maintenance Engineer and mech TA's to ensure alignment
• Liaise with Logistics and vessel providers
• Liaise with buyers as and when necessary to enable work to be liquidated.
• Engage in the Work Order planning process to ensure effective liquidation of work and management of backlog
• Offshore visits as required
• Task reporting is to the Maintenance Engineer

Work related competence

• Previous experience in a Mechanical role supporting offshore maintenance delivery
• Experience working with SAP beneficial
• Current offshore certification (medical/BOSIET/MIST etc.
