Currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to provide expertise on a portfolio of capital works projects at a large scale mining operation in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
In this role you will be working with the Major Projects teams on the delivery of capital projects across structural, mechanical and piping activities ensuring projects are completed in time, within budget and to specifications. You will be liaising significantly with both internal and external stakeholders including land councils and regulators.

To be successful in the role you will hold a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in open pit mining working on capital projects.

- Working on studies to determine project requirements, constraints, and potential risks
- Creating detailed cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocation plans for project execution.
- Contribute to work packages and engineering scopes to ensure the timely execution of the project.

To be successful in the role you will hold a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in open pit mining working on capital projects.
You will also have:
- Ability to interpret complex engineering scopes
- Ability to complete project reporting for tollgating purposes
- Technical expertise in SMP capital projects
