Woodside Energy are currently seeking an Occupational Hygiene Adviser for an initial 6-month contract.

The successful candidate will provide SME technical support and advice in occupational hygiene with oversight/coaching by Senior Health and Hygiene Advisor.

This role is responsible for the delivery, advice, planning, support, and training of hygiene activities to Australia region (includes operations and project activities).

About the Role:
  • Advise operational teams on occupational health and hygiene related issues.
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate occupational hygiene processes and programs.
  • Provide health risk assessment expertise.
  • Perth based role with site travel required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice and guidance on health and hygiene related processes, standards, and issues.
  • Deliver health risk assessments, exposure monitoring campaigns, and health and hygiene assurance activities.
  • Provide training for monitoring and testing programs (including benzene, mercury, radiation).
  • Input into incident investigations.
  • Experienced in risk communication and able to deliver health and hygiene awareness.
Required Skills and Attributes:
  • Tertiary qualification in occupational hygiene.
  • Experience in occupational hygiene in the oil and gas or resources industry. 
  • Effective communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders’ expectations.
